Job summary

Enliven in Oamaru is seeking a friendly laundry assistant to join our busy care home team. You will help wash, dry and sort resident linen and other linen for the facility, supporting cleanliness and comfort for residents.

Permanent, part-time roles with training provided; morning and weekend options. You’ll work as part of a caring, supportive team at Iona Care Centre, contributing to a warm, home-like environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well in a team across shifts.
• Willingness to learn and follow training provided.
• Physical fitness to handle laundry duties and material handling.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry and sort resident linen and other linen for the care home.
• Support the lives and wellbeing of older people through clean, well-presented laundry.
• Work within the Laundry department as part of a caring team.

We are looking to employ a laundry assistant for our busy Enliven care home in Oamaru. Our Laundry department is responsible for washing, drying and sorting our resident’s linen, along with other linen for the care home. You will be supporting the lives & wellbeing of older people living at Iona Care Centre by providing general laundry duties.

Hours: Permanent, part-time. Please state which position/s you are interested in your cover letter.

Position 1: 22 hours per week to be worked 5.5hrs/day, 0800-1400hrs on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Position 2: 45 hours per fortnight to be worked as follows:

• Week one: 6hrs/day, 0630-1300hrs on Wednesday and Thursday
• Week two: 6hrs/day, 0630-1300hrs on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday & 7.5hrs/day, 0630-1430hrs on Saturday & Sunday
