Job summary

Peppers Bluewater Resort is seeking a Kitchen Hand to help maintain the sparkle of our kitchen operations at Lake Tekapo. You will clean crockery, utensils, and surfaces while upholding stringent hygiene standards, and assist the kitchen team with basic food prep when needed.

You should bring a can-do attitude, enjoy working in a diverse, fast-paced environment, and be flexible for shifts including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen operations or cleaning is a plus.
• Enthusiastic can-do attitude and motivated demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain impeccable hygiene while cleaning crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other kitchen equipment, using both commercial dishwashers and manual cleaning methods
• Carry out rubbish removal, sweeping and mopping of kitchen floors
• Disinfect and clean, ensuring the proper sequence of chemical usage
• Provide valuable support to our kitchen team, including basic food preparation, grating, peeling, chopping, and preparing batters, garnishes, and seasonings.
