Job summary

Fonterra is seeking an L6 Operations Assistant at the Reporoa depot to support day-to-day milk collection operations, tanker movements and depot compliance. You will handle compliance admin, health and safety, and reporting with a can-do attitude, strong communication, basic data entry, and a Class 5 license.

Qualifications

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry experience.
• Ability to navigate computer systems and generate reports.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure yard equipment operates effectively and SOPs are followed in CIP and milk reception bays.
• Maintain depot/office consumables within budget.
• Assist with driving and relocating tankers; collect/deliver where needed.
• Conduct CIP testing; record chemical/temperature levels and faults.
• Investigate tanker gradings; action maintenance requests.
• Regular reporting and completion of compliance documentation.
• Provide administrative and operational support during audits.
