Job summary

25 Degrees Tekapo is seeking a reliable Kitchen Hand to support our back-of-house team and help keep the kitchen clean and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll assist with basic food prep, manage rubbish and hygiene standards, and help with stock deliveries to ensure smooth service and great guest experiences in a stunning Tekapo location.

Qualifications

• No prior kitchen experience required; training provided.
• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
• Strong team player with reliability and initiative.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We’re on the hunt for a reliable, energetic Kitchen Hand to join our back-of-house team. You’ll be the engine room of the kitchen – keeping things clean, organised, and running smoothly so our chefs can do their thing. No two days are the same, and there’s always something sizzling!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Keeping the kitchen spotless and dishes sparkling
• Assisting chefs with basic food prep when needed
• Managing rubbish, recycling, and kitchen hygiene standards
• Helping with stock deliveries and storage
• Supporting the team to keep service flowing smoothly

What You’ll Bring

• A great attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to stay cool under pressure in a busy kitchen
• A team-first mindset and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
• Previous kitchen experience is a bonus, but not essential – we’ll show you the ropes!
