Job summary

Wai Hospitality Group operates three Queenstown venues—Public Italian Kitchen, Finz Seafood & Grill, and Bella Cucina—and is hiring Kitchenhands. You will wash dishes, keep the area clean, assist in food prep, label/store items correctly, and uphold kitchen safety standards across busy environments.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and keep the dish area clear.
• Food preparation; assist in producing menu items to a high standard.
• Store and label food correctly.
• Clean all areas of the kitchen to a high standard.
• Maintain standards for food safety in all areas.
• Communicate with Head/Sous Chef and report breakages or equipment issues.
• Uphold standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

We're looking for kitchenhands who are reliable, work well as part of a team, and take pride in keeping a busy kitchen clean, organised, and running smoothly.

What you'll be doing

• - Wash dishes and keep the dish area clear
• - Food preparation, assist in producing menu items to a high standard
• - Store and label food correctly
• - Cleaning all areas of the kitchen to a high standard
• - Maintain standards for food safety in all food preparation areas
• - Communication skills, with the ability to listen and follow instructions
• - Notify Head/Sous Chef of any breakages or equipment
• - Uphold standards and ensure compliance with regulations

No experience is required, on the job training is provided.
