Job summary

odd saint in Queenstown is seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand for weekend work. Saturdays and Sundays, 7:30am–3:30pm, offering consistent daytime hours in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You’ll help keep the kitchen running smoothly, wash-up, assist with basic food prep, restock and maintain a clean work area while supporting the wider kitchen team during peak service. Upholding food safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous Kitchen Hand experience in a busy café, restaurant or similar environment.
• Capable of working at pace during high-volume service.
• Reliable, organised and happy to get stuck in.
• Works well as part of a kitchen team.
• Can commit to both Saturday and Sunday shifts.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform a physical shift.

We’re looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand to join the team at odd saint, our busy all-day eatery in the heart of Queenstown.

This is a weekend role, working Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30am–3:30pm. Perfect for someone looking for consistent daytime hours in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

About the role

odd saint gets busy, particularly over the weekends, so we’re looking for someone who can keep pace and help keep the kitchen running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Keeping on top of dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Maintaining a clean, organised kitchen and wash-up area
• Supporting the chefs with basic food prep when needed
• Restocking and keeping work areas ready for service
• Managing rubbish and recycling
• Following food safety and hygiene standards
• Jumping in and supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous Kitchen Hand experience in a busy café, restaurant or similar environment
• Is comfortable working at pace during high-volume service
• Is reliable, organised and happy to get stuck in
• Works well as part of a kitchen team
