Job summary

odd saint in Queenstown is seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand for weekend work. Saturdays and Sundays, 7:30am–3:30pm, offering consistent daytime hours in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You’ll help keep the kitchen running smoothly, wash-up, assist with basic food prep, restock and maintain a clean work area while supporting the wider kitchen team during peak service. Upholding food safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous Kitchen Hand experience in a busy café, restaurant or similar environment.
• Capable of working at pace during high-volume service.
• Reliable, organised and happy to get stuck in.
• Works well as part of a kitchen team.
• Can commit to both Saturday and Sunday shifts.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform a physical shift.

Responsibilities

• Dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and wash-up area
• Support chefs with basic food prep when needed
• Restock and keep work areas ready for service
• Manage rubbish and recycling
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Support wider kitchen team during busy service
