Novotel & Ibis Auckland Ellerslie is seeking a Kitchen Attendant to help keep the kitchen running smoothly, ensure cleanliness, organisation, and well-stocked stations to support chefs during busy service.

You will join a vibrant hospitality team, with rotating 7-day shifts including early mornings or late nights, and benefit from development opportunities, staff rates at Accor hotels worldwide, and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Friendly, professional attitude with strong communication, time-management skills, and a passion for hospitality.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Flexible with scheduling; rotating 7-day roster with early morning or late-night shifts.
• Understands basic food safety and hygiene practices; previous kitchen or hotel service experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen operations through basic food preparation and assisting chefs during busy service periods.
• Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes/equipment and keeping all kitchen surfaces hygienic and organised.
• Manage waste by regularly removing rubbish and recycling, ensuring disposal areas stay tidy.
• Help with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies while following all health, safety, and food-handling procedures.
