Job summary

Bupa Crofton Downs Care Home in Wellington is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations. You will help with food preparation and general kitchen duties, ensuring high standards of presentation and safety while working as part of a busy team.

The role is permanent part-time, with a rotating 6-week roster, 28 hours per week, and shifts from 11:00am to 5:30pm. Applicants must have NZ working rights and be prepared to work weekends.

Qualifications

• Preferably 1 year experience in a similar role.
• Experience following established recipes and preparing food to a high standard.
• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed.
• Possess strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation.
• Excellent time management & communication skills, following instruction accurately.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents.
• Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends.
• Reliable transport and travel arrangements.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
