Job summary

Bupa is hiring a Kitchen Assistant in Wellington, NZ. In this role you will support daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation, maintain high standards of presentation, and help ensure smooth meal service.

The role offers a permanent part-time schedule with a rotating roster and opportunities to contribute to residents' wellbeing. Applicants should have a positive attitude, be able to work 28 hours weekly across a 6-week roster, and have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a similar role preferred but full training will be provided.
• Experience following established recipes and preparing food to a high standard.
• Proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about residents' wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation.
• Undertake general kitchen duties (dishwashing and cleaning).
• Work independently and as part of a busy kitchen team.
