Job summary

Presbyterian Support Otago – Oamaru, South Island is seeking a dedicated person to join our small kitchen team. You will be responsible for the clean-up shift, washing dishes, and cleaning the kitchen and dining area, ensuring a high standard of meals for residents and local services.

The role offers permanent part-time hours with a 3-hour shift every Tuesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, with full training provided. We value reliability, teamwork, and a positive, supportive approach to care.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a charity kitchen.

• Must be reliable, efficient and hardworking; training provided.

Presbyterian Support Otago – Oamaru, South Island

You will be a key part of the team involved in the preparation and cooking of meals for approximately 90 people in residential care and independent living units. Iona also has a contract to provide meals for Oamaru Public Hospital and local Meals on Wheels. Working in a small, supportive kitchen team providing a high standard of meals to residents in care homes and the community.

In this role, you will be undertaking the clean‑up shift where you will wash dishes and be responsible for cleaning the kitchen and dining room. You will provide an efficient and effective service, in accordance with the Enliven Philosophy.

Hours: Permanent, part-time position working a 3-hour shift once a week, 1700-2000hrs on a Tuesday
