Job summary

Radius Care is seeking a casual Kitchen Assistant at our Whangarei location. You will support the kitchen team with meal service, ensure clean and safe handling of utensils and equipment, and assist with general kitchen tasks and dishwashing. You will help maintain infection control and proper chemical labeling and storage.

A positive, reliable attitude and good teamwork are essential. Experience is welcomed but not required; training and NZQA qualifications support are offered.

Qualifications

• Appropriate industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Organisational skills essential for coordinating tasks.
• Personable and reliable with excellent people skills.

Casual, as and when required

Note:

Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for this role. Visa-holders must have a current visa with open work rights and preferably at least 6 months left until expiry.

About the role:

Gain valuable experience working closely with our kitchen team. Assist with the meal service and providing nutritious, well-presented meals to our residents. Aid the kitchen team to provide a hygienic work environment. Assume responsibility for cleaning food prep equipment and utensils. Report any faulty equipment to the Cook.

Duties include:

• Ensuring utensils and equipment are clean, and stored safely and correctly
