At Tait Communications, our Summer Internships give students the opportunity to work on real projects, solve genuine engineering challenges, and contribute to products that help keep communities safe and connected.
Join our System Verification & Validation (SSV) team and gain hands-on experience developing automated testing solutions for mission-critical communications technology used around the world. As part of this project, you'll help build an automated test framework that validates interoperability between Tait Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) products and third-party DMR equipment.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll investigate DMR protocols, develop and enhance automation scripts, execute automated test scenarios, and analyse results. You'll also contribute to improving test reporting and identifying opportunities to expand test coverage and efficiency.
This internship offers exposure to software development, test automation, telecommunications, and networking technologies in a real-world engineering environment. It's an excellent opportunity to apply your technical skills, learn from industry experts, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality communication solutions used by customers worldwide.
This opportunity is suited to a student studying Software Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with an interest in software testing, automation, networking, communications systems, or telecommunications technologies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience with automated testing frameworks, networking protocols, Linux environments, radio communications, or telecommunications technologies would be an advantage.
