Job summary

Allied Telesis in Christchurch invites motivated students for 2026/2027 summer internships. You will work on projects spanning networking, automation, APIs and AI, gaining hands-on software development experience with guidance from senior engineers.

The program focuses on real-world challenges, collaborative teamwork and developing practical skills in software and systems engineering while delivering value to our team and customers.

Qualifications

• Studying towards Bachelor or higher degrees in computer science, engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

We would love to hear from students who would like to work with us in interesting and challenging roles over the 2026/2027 summer break. This year, Allied Telesis is looking for summer students to work on a range of projects. These projects will provide an opportunity to work on real-world challenges at the intersection of networking, automation, APIs and artificial intelligence. Students will gain hands-on experience with modern technologies, contribute to innovative solutions, and develop skills in software development, data analysis, testing, and systems engineering while collaborating with experienced engineers on projects that have practical impact.

Our solutions-based philosophy of producing products that deliver value to our customers, together with high-quality service and support, has resulted in an extensive worldwide customer presence.

Here in Christchurch, we’re the largest research and development facility for the Allied Telesis Group, developing innovative networking solutions using best of breed tools (including a wide range of industry leading proprietary and Open Source technology).
