Placements24 is seeking a passionate Junior Mathematics Tutor to deliver online, one-on-one sessions for high school students, covering fundamentals and advanced topics. This flexible, part-time position helps students build confidence and improve performance from home.

You will use Zoom or Google Meet and digital whiteboards to explain concepts, assess progress, assign practice, and communicate with students and parents. Based in Queenstown, you can support learners nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or ongoing tertiary studies in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience with high school students is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of the high school mathematics curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; patient and friendly.
• Proficiency with online conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet) and digital whiteboards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Genuine passion for mathematics and helping students succeed.
