Job summary

CBRE Wellington is seeking an Assistant Valuer to join our Commercial Valuation team. This role suits a recent Property graduate or final-year Property student nearing degree completion, with a path toward NZIV registration.

You will work on a range of commercial valuation assignments, receive mentoring from seasoned valuers, and develop core valuation skills, market knowledge, and client awareness in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Studying towards or recently completed an NZIV-approved Property degree.
• Finance minor or double major would be highly regarded.
• Be confident, personable and comfortable communicating with a variety of people.
• Demonstrate initiative, curiosity and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent attention to detail with accurate data input and analysis.
• Strong time management and organisational skills to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support experienced valuers with key valuation activities, including property inspections, market research, lease analysis and valuation report preparation.
• Assist with data collection, market evidence, and comparative analysis for valuation reports.
• Develop skills in valuation modelling and report writing under mentorship.
• Build relationships with clients, agents and industry stakeholders to understand the commercial property sector.
• Learn towards Registered Valuer status with day-to-day guidance from experienced professionals.
