Job summary

Mix'd Cocktail Bar in Ahuriri, North Island, New Zealand, is seeking a passionate Junior Chef to join our kitchen team. You will assist with day-to-day kitchen operations, prepare fresh food to a high standard, and support the team to deliver a great experience for customers.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in a busy kitchen, a love of food, reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude. You must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; NZ residency

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Chef to join our kitchen team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves food, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and wants to develop their skills alongside an experienced kitchen team.

As a Junior Chef, you'll help with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, preparing fresh food to a high standard and supporting the team to deliver a great experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities include;

Preparing ingredients and assisting with food preparation

Cooking and plating dishes to Mix'd standards

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen

Following food safety and hygiene procedures

Supporting the senior kitchen team during busy service periods

Contributing to a positive and hard working team environment
