Job summary

Fiddlesticks Restaurant and Bar in the CBD is seeking an experienced chef to join our kitchen brigade as we head into the summer months. We are committed to quality cuisine and a collaborative team environment that values passion, enthusiasm and energy.

Key duties include preparing and cooking dishes to meet standards, managing stock levels, and supporting senior chefs to uphold high quality and hygiene. The role offers ongoing training and a competitive wage package in a vibrant Christchurch

Qualifications

• 1-2 years past relevant experience, with a passion to learn
• Strong interest in using locally sourced produce
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure kitchen environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food dishes to meet production and quality standards
• Monitor and manage stock levels
• Assist senior chefs to ensure quality and high standards
• Facilitate effective two-way communication within the kitchen for smooth operation
• Ensure all food hygiene guidelines are followed at all times
• Complete cleaning checklists as required
