Global Wave Group in Albany, Auckland is seeking an Assistant Accountant (part-time) to maintain financial records, handle accounts payable and receivable, and support month-end processes. The role offers on-site parking and a well-stocked staff pantry.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or are studying toward a qualification, with strong Excel skills and fluent English and Mandarin. The position suits a detail-oriented professional who can work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or currently studying toward a qualification.
• Recent graduates and students welcome to apply.
• Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial record keeping.

Responsabilités

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, receipts, and bank transactions.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and assist with month-end and quarter-end financial processes.
• Prepare and maintain supporting financial documents, records, and filing systems.
• Assist with quarterly audits by preparing documentation and responding to finance and audit-related queries.
• Support journal entries, reconciliations, and other general accounting tasks as required.
• Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies or issues for review.
