Job summary

Global Wave Group is seeking an Assistant Accountant for an office-based role in Albany, Auckland. This part-time position reports to the Senior Accountant and focuses on maintaining financial records, reconciliations, and support for audits.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in accounting/finance or are currently studying, with strong Excel skills and bilingual English/Mandarin communication. Benefits include a discretionary bonus and growth opportunities within the international business.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly audits by preparing documentation and responding to queries.
• Support journal entries, reconciliations, and other general accounting tasks.
• Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies for review.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, receipts, and bank transactions.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations and assist with month-end and quarter-end financial processes.
