Job summary

Farro Fresh Food Limited is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance team in Auckland. The role focuses on month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and broader business initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold an accounting/finance degree, have 2+ years in a finance role, and are pursuing CA/CPA. Strong Excel and Xero experience are essential, along with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset and good communication

Qualifications

• tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years' experience in an accounting/finance role.
• Working towards CA/CPA qualification.
• Strong Excel skills with financial data.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end reporting, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and resolve items.
• Assist with cash and bank reconciliations and related reporting.
• Support management of capital expenditure and fixed asset register.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for business decisions.
• Assist with GST, FBT and other statutory reporting.
• Support annual audit process and schedules.
• Collaborate with Finance and stakeholders to deliver timely financial information.
