Job summary

Montage Group in Hamilton is seeking a practical, hands-on project manager to own complex jobs, especially high-end kitchens and commercial fit-outs, ensuring they are right before they reach the factory floor. You will coordinate clients, builders, designers and production, keep projects on track, check drawings and specs, and provide production drawings in Polyboard or Microvellum as needed.

Based at our Frankton office, with regular travel around the Waikato and occasional trips to Auckland

Qualifications

Cabinetmaking or joinery trade background (qualified preferred).
Experience running projects (kitchens, fit-outs or building).
CAD drawing experience, Polyboard or Microvellum; willingness to learn other tools.

Responsibilities

Carry out site measures and client consultations, at showroom or on site.
Manage projects (residential & commercial) from start to finish, collaborating with builders, architects, contractors, installers and production team.
Check drawings, specs and details before production so jobs are right first time.
Determine how complex cabinetry will be built, including detail drawings, labour times and costs.
Support designers with site measures, technical advice and problem solving.
Prepare quotes and spec sheets when required.
Draw plans and production drawings in Microvellum or Polyboard where needed.
