Job summary

Ourclient in Otago, New Zealand seeks an experienced Joinery Designer/Detailer to join a well-established custom joinery business. This full‑time, permanent role offers career stability, competitive pay and exposure to premium residential and commercial projects.

The successful candidate will design, detail and coordinate bespoke joinery from concept to production, working with clients, architects and the production team to ensure timely delivery and high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Joinery or Cabinet Making, or at least 3 years of relevant joinery experience.
• Experience with Microvellum software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural drawings and technical documentation.
• Prepare detailed joinery drawings using Microvellum software.
• Generate workshop drawings, cutting lists, and material reports.
• Coordinate projects from design through to manufacturing.
• Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship.
