Job summary

Hamilton Kitchen Complex Limited is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our friendly Hamilton team. You will work from drawings and specifications to produce furniture and fittings with precise detail.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of relevant experience or NZQF Level 4 qualification, strong communication, reliability, and a team-focused attitude. We offer full-time hours, on-site work, and on-site safety training.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant work experience or NZQF Level 4 qualification.
• Good communication and professional skills.
• Punctual, honest, reliable and hardworking.
• Keen to work well within a team setting.
• Great attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Examine drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications.
• Selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board and synthetic wood.
• Marking out, cutting and shaping wood.
• Working from drawings and specifications to make furniture.
• Making fittings for boats, caravans and other items where fine detail is required.
• Assembling parts to form sections of furniture and completed articles.
• Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers and shelves.
• Making frames for chairs and couches.
• May repair and refurbish furniture and antiques.
