Job summary

Bupa's Ōwhata, Rotorua care home is seeking a Casual Caregiver to support residents with mobility, daily living, and compassionate care. You will work with a supportive team to ensure dignity and independence for each resident.

You will maintain care records, encourage social activities, and help create a warm, safe environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Experience in aged care and a caregiving qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 0-4 Caregiving qualification, with current medication competency and a strong understanding of safe medication practices.
• Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
• Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly
• Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand

Located in Ōwhata, Rotorua, Bupa Redwood is surrounded by beautifully established gardens and peaceful outdoor spaces. The home offers rest home, hospital, dementia, and specialist dementia (psychogeriatric) care.

As a Caregiver, you’ll work alongside a supportive team to:
