Job summary

Bupa Windsor Park Care Home in Gore, Southland, is looking for a caring and reliable Household team member to deliver clean, hygienic housekeeping and laundry services for residents. In this casual role, you’ll follow the cleaning schedule, handle residents' clothing with care, and help maintain a warm, safe environment.

• Provide efficient cleaning and laundry services to a high standard.
• Follow the cleaning schedule for resident areas and laundry.

Located in Gore, Southland, Bupa Windsor Park Care Home is set amongst gardens with views of the Hokonui Hills.Care options include Rest Home, Hospital, and Dementia Care.

As part of our Household team, you will:

• Provide efficient, and hygienic cleaning and laundry services to a high standard.
• Complete all daily cleaning tasks set by the cleaning schedule, ensuring that residents’ rooms, public areas, and laundry are in perfect order.
• Ensure all care is taken with the residents' personal clothing and returned to owners.
• Operate all laundry equipment as specified.
• Report to the manager any faults, issues, or when supplies need replacement.
• Manage supplies economically, avoiding wastage.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe chemical use and storage.
• Treat residents with respect and dignity.

What you’ll needto make it possible

• Previous housekeeping experience in a similar environment is preferable.
• Take pride in providing high quality household services that help residents live comfortably and safely.
• Show an ability to work well individually and with a team to create a smooth workflow.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, care, and passion for making a difference in our residents’ lives while communicating well with others.
• Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and evenings.
• Reliable transport or travel arrangements.
• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in NZ.
