About the role

WelTec is seeking an experiencedIT Tutor with strong practical and industry expertise in:

Networking, Cloud Computingand Cybersecurity

This is a permanent, full-timeposition based at our Petone campus in Wellington. You will teach acrosscertificate, diploma and bachelor's degree programmes and contribute topractical, industry-focused IT education.

Strong networking expertise isessential for this position. We are looking for someone who also hasdemonstrated capability in cloud technologies and cybersecurity and canconfidently teach these areas in a practical tertiary learning environment.

We are particularly interested incandidates with current or recent hands-on industry experience who can bringreal-world technical knowledge into the classroom.

Key technical areas

Applicants should be able todemonstrate practical capability across the following areas:

• Networking – essential: network design,configuration, administration, troubleshooting, routing and switching,network services and related technologies.
• Cloud Computing: practical experience withcloud platforms and services such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or equivalent.
• Cybersecurity: network and systems security,security principles, vulnerabilities and threats, access control, riskmanagement and practical security tools and techniques.
