Job summary

CMW Geosciences in Auckland is seeking an IT Support Officer to provide responsive IT support across Australia and New Zealand. You will manage helpdesk requests, troubleshoot issues and ensure incidents are logged, resolved, or escalated according to our ITSM processes.

The role requires 3+ years in IT support, Microsoft certifications, and a strong understanding of cyber security and networking. A collaborative, customer-focused mindset will help you thrive in a dynamic geotechnical

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in IT support, service desk or similar role in ITIL/ITSM environments.
• Microsoft certifications and hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, endpoint management, security tools, Windows 10/11.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, networking, remote access technologies, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience deploying, supporting, and maintaining business applications and end-user technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive IT support across Australia and New Zealand.
• Log, triage, troubleshoot, and escalate incidents through the IT service management system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve support processes.

About the role

Our Aucklandoffice is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an IT Support Officerto join our team.

In this role, you will deliver responsive IT support across Australia and New Zealand, managing helpdesk requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring all incidents are effectively logged, resolved, or escalated through our IT service management system.

What You'll Need

• 3+ years' experience in an IT support, service desk, or similar role, with experience working within ITIL and ITSM environments.
• Microsoft certifications and hands-on experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365, endpoint management, security tools, and Windows 10/11.
• Strong understanding of cyber security, networking, remote access technologies, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience deploying, supporting, and maintaining business applications and end‑user technologies.
• Exposure to a range of IT tools and platforms, including Jira, Confluence, PowerApps, Power BI, PowerShell, Microsoft Endpoint, and SOE deployments.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, a customer‑focused approach, and experience supporting civil engineering or industry‑specific applications will be highly regarded.
