Job summary

CMW Geosciences in Tauranga is seeking an Associate Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist with 8+ years of geotechnical consultancy experience. You will provide analysis, design and technical guidance for residential, industrial and energy projects, working with a team of 25 including three Principal Geotechnical Engineers.

The Tauranga office serves the Bay of Plenty region, with a secondary Rotorua office. Flexible hours and ongoing training are available as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science.
• 8+ years of experience in a geotechnical consultancy.
• At least 2 years experience in New Zealand, Tauranga preferred.
• Full New Zealand driver's license.
• Good interpersonal, organisational and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis, design and technical advice for clients in residential, industrial and energy sectors.
• Work closely with senior engineers to deliver projects and mentorship within the team.

Our Tauranga office is looking to hire an Associate Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist with 8+ years of experience working in a geotechnical consultancy. Specifically, our team is looking for an engineer/geologist who can provide analysis, design, and technical advice for our clients in the residential, industrial, and energy space. Our team of 25 includes three Principal Geotechnical Engineers (including the NZ Technical Director), and you''ll have the ability to work with them closely on a regular basis. Our team is well-established in the Bay of Plenty region with a secondary office in Rotorua servicing the Rotorua and Taupo lakes district.

What You\'ll Need

• A Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science Degree
• 8+ years experience in a geotechnical consultancy
• At least 2 years experience in New Zealand and specifically Tauranga is preferred
• A full New Zealand drivers license
• Good interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
