Job summary

eShepherd in Hamilton is seeking an IoT Engineer to design end-to-end solutions connecting devices, data and cloud services. You will work across hardware and software, building secure, scalable architectures and implementing IoT protocols.

You’ll collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy reliable connected solutions from concept to deployment, tackle complex IoT problems, and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Degree in CS, SE or related discipline.
Experience designing and deploying IoT apps.
Strong programming in Python, C, JS or Bash.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end IoT solutions connecting devices, data, cloud services and APIs.
Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to integrate IoT components.
Build secure, scalable IoT architectures.
Implement IoT communication protocols and standards.
Develop data processing and analytics pipelines.
Test, debug and troubleshoot complex IoT systems.
Help improve reliability and performance.
Evaluate new hardware, software and emerging IoT technologies.
Contribute to documentation, code reviews and knowledge sharing.
