Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Transfer Nurse to join the Integrated Operations Centre. You will coordinate patient transfers between Base Hospital and Hawera, while supporting general RN duties under the Duty Nurse Manager.

Flexibility for a range of shifts is essential to ensure patient care remains the priority. Applicants must be a qualified NZ nurse with CORE advanced (or enrolled to complete ASAP) and be ready to work within a dynamic hospital setting that values

Qualifications

• Qualified nurse with experience in a NZ hospital system.
• CORE advanced or enrollment to complete ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide transfer services within Base Hospital, between Base and Hawera, to and from the airport and other transfer requirements.
• Support Registered Nurse duties as directed by the Duty Nurse Manager.
• Cover shifts listed (08:30–17:00, 10:00–15:00, 15:00–20:00, 09:45–20:15, 17:00–23:00).

Transfer Nurses work as a part of the Integrated Operations Centre team and provide a transfer service within Base Hospital, between Base and Hawera, to and from the airport and other patient transfer requirements or Registered Nurse duties as directed by the Duty Nurse Manager.

We are welcoming applications from competent and professional practitioners who will be providing caring, and best practice nursing services to our patients that puts them at the centre of everything we do.

Current shifts:

• 0830-1700
• 1000-1500
• 1500-2000
• 0945-2015
• 1700-2300

We especially welcome those interested in the 1700-2300hr shift.
