Job summary

Tegel Foods Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Support Assistant for the Bell Block distribution centre in New Plymouth. The role is a 5x8 shift, 7am–3:30pm, focusing on maintaining stock accuracy both onsite and in offsite warehouses.

You will perform cycle counts, manage dumps, track CHEP movements, scan ROPs, and coordinate with head office and Petfood. Requires strong admin, safety focus, and familiarity with Excel/Inventory systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent administration, planning and organization skills.
• Strong focus on Health and Safety.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literate - Excel, Word, Outlook
• Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
• Attention to detail.
• Understanding of logistics, Inventory control and warehouse operations
• Knowledge of e-Certing / Inventory systems preferable

Responsibilities

• Completion of cycle counts on a regular basis.
• Release and allocated all dumps in the system.
• Capture all CHEP movements in and out of the site.
• Ensure all ROPs are scanned back into the system and handled correctly.
• Liaise with Petfood weekly to ensure its all invoiced out of the system.
• Create daily Manufacturing Orders for Café order.
• Action all Head office downgrade requests with feedback
• Maintain weekly turnaround times on all credits.

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Inventory Support Assistant to join our Distribution Centre based in Bell Block. If you have a great work ethic and want to be a part of a strong team, then come and join the team at Tegel. This position will be a 5x8 role, working 7am - 3.30pm. You will be providing support in maintaining stock accuracy both onsite and within offsite warehouses.
