Job summary

DB-Supply-LLC in Lower Hutt, Wellington region seeks a reliable Material Handler to load/unload products, maintain inventory levels, and prepare goods for distribution. Physically demanding but essential to store operations, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include handling crates, pallets and freight; performing stock checks and ensuring proper storage methods. Forklift certification is a plus; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Material Handler with knowledge of inventory systems and record keeping.
• High school diploma or GED required; forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, load, unload, count, weigh, measure, code and store materials.
• Move material using pallets, hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Open and unwrap crates, boxes, cartons, and other containers.
• Wrap, seal and secure material on pallets for distribution.
• Stock shelves and sales floor areas for maximum inventory.
• Report discrepancies in receiving to supervisor/manager.
• Assist in periodic/perpetual inventory and stock rotation.
• Spot trucks, check inbound freight from carriers and vendors.
• Determine damage extent and report to supervisor.
• Maintain clean work areas and equipment.
