Job summary

Petstock NZ is seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join our New Zealand Merchandise team. You will forecast, manage inventories, and contribute to financial planning to drive category success.

You will develop budgets, manage forecasts, and open-to-buy processes while collaborating with Merchandise, Supply Chain, and Operations to achieve commercial objectives. A data-driven approach and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Merchandise Planning, Inventory Planning, or a similar retail planning role.
• Strong forecasting, analytical, and commercial acumen.
• Experience with inventory management, replenishment, allocation, and budgeting processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Positive, proactive approach and passion for delivering results.

Responsibilities

• Forecast, budgets, forecasts, and inventory plans.
• Drive stockturn, GMROI, and inventory productivity outcomes.
• Analyse sales, inventory, and category performance to identify opportunities and risks.
• Manage seasonal buy plans, forecasting, and Open To Buy (OTB) processes.
• Partner with Merchandise, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to achieve objectives.
• Provide reporting, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making.
