Job summary

NZDF is seeking an Inventory Coordinator based in Birkenhead, Auckland to manage stock databases and ensure accurate SAP reflection of physical counts.

You will issue, receipting and transfer both ammunition and non-ammunition items, while supporting efficient service and customer requests from across the Defence community.

On onboarding, training is provided and there is potential for flexible working arrangements, along with a competitive benefits package and security coverage.

  • Strong IT skills: SAP or ERP and MS Office.
  • Experience in warehousing activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills across varied teams.

Mo te tunga | About the roleThe primary role of the Inventory Coordinator is to carry out computer based accounting and coordination of stock for the Defence Munitions Management Group.Duties will also include:Maintaining an accurate electronic and physical database of stock.Conducting physical stock checks to ensure stock is accurately reflected on SAP, as well as conducting discrepancy investigations and recommendations for remedial action.Accurately performing computer accounting transactions and adhering to correct NZDF supply and ledger procedures.Issuing, receipting, and physically transferring both ammunition and non-ammunition goods alike.Managing customer requests and requirements to ensure smooth and efficient service.This role is based in a warehouse environment in Birkenhead, Auckland.Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option of flexible working arrangements.Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will be experienced in inventory management along with the following:Strong IT skills: Proficiency in SAP (or another corporate ERP System) and MS Office suite.Experience in Warehousing activities.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of people.Nou te rourou | What's in it for youYour skills and dedication deserve recognition, and NZDF delivers with competitive pay matched to your experience.
