Job summary

Motion New Zealand Limited in Kaitaia is seeking a motivated individual to join our branch on a six-month fixed-term maternity leave cover. You will receive, check, and dispatch incoming goods, pick and pack orders, and provide practical product advice to a diverse local customer base.

This hands-on role involves front-counter service, answering enquiries by phone, email and in person, and supporting showroom promotions and general warehouse duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, trade, automotive, mechanical, construction, warehousing or customer-service environments.
• Strong communication skills and a professional phone manner.
• Interest in mechanical or industrial products.
• A current New Zealand driver licence would be advantageous for local deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and accurately receipt incoming goods and stock shipments.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Provide product advice and support to a diverse customer base.
• Deliver excellent front-counter service.
• Respond to customer enquiries and process orders by phone, email, and in person.
• Build trusted customer relationships and support the branch as the supplier of choice.
• Assist with showroom promotions and counter-sales activities.
• Support general warehouse and branch duties as required.
