Job summary

Neocrete, a New Zealand startup, offers a paid 10-week internship for students in engineering, science or technology. You will gain hands-on experience in concrete testing, data analysis and reporting while contributing to our low-carbon additive technology.

The program runs November to early March (approximately 400 hours) at $29.90 per hour. Applicants should be near the end of their degree or recently graduated and able to work in NZ.

Qualifications

  • Experience with concrete testing (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Currently studying engineering (civil or chemical), science or technology
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Hands-on lab work experience (e.g., mixing concrete)
  • Detail-oriented with good data analysis and Excel basics
  • Comfortable following standard procedures and lab safety

We're looking for someone who:
  • Has experience with concrete testing (preferred but not necessary)
  • Is studying engineering (ideally civil or chemical), science or technology
  • Works well in a collaborative team setting
  • Is comfortable with hands-on practical work in a lab. (e.g. mixing concrete)
  • Excited by working in a startup atmosphere where things move quickly and change often
  • Has strong attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Is comfortable with basic Excel and data analysis
  • Can follow standard procedures and work safely in a lab environment

Pay: $29.90 per hour
To be eligible you must:
  • have just completed or be in the penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or qualification atNZQA level 7-10
  • be studyingengineering, technology or science at a NZ tertiary education institute
  • be legally permitted to work in NZ
  • have good spoken/written English
  • a hands-on mentality, a love for innovation and a desire to learn.
