Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering (4-year)
• 3+ years of New Zealand work experience
• Proficiency in Spacegass or ETABs advantageous
• Strong mentoring and leadership skills

Strata Group Consulting Engineers are excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic and passionate Intermediate to Senior Engineer to join our Hastings team. You will be encouraged to embrace challenges, guide and mentor staff and progress your career.

Your role will involve a combination of the following:

• Structural design of residential, commercial and industrial structures from concept through consenting and construction.
• Seismic assessment and retrofit design of existing building structures from concept through consenting and construction.
• Site measure-up and construction monitoring.
• Work collaboratively and support technical and professional development to produce high-quality engineering documentation.
• Assist with managing clients, consultants, design teams and job finances to achieve positive project outcomes.

This role will suit a Structural Engineer with a 4-year Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and 3 or more years of New Zealand work experience. You will need a proven background in structural design, mentoring of staff and proficiency in Spacegass or ETABs will be advantageous.
