Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU in Auckland, New Zealand invites an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their team. You will deliver accurate cost estimates, provide commercial support, and assess project risk across civil infrastructure, earthworks, water, transport, environmental and coastal developments.

The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams and a focus on cost control, tendering and procurement throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Approximately 5 years of quantity surveying or estimating experience on civil/multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, cost planning and commercial management.
• Experience with preparing accurate cost estimates and identifying commercial risks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil and infrastructure projects.
• Develop quantity take-offs and pricing for tenders and project delivery.
• Provide commercial, contractual and procurement advice throughout project delivery.
• Monitor project costs and forecast final project expenditure.
• Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
