Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work in a team
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • 2+ years of external audit experience (duplicate in list)
  • Currently living in New Zealand with the legal right to work here or eligible for Accredited Employer Work Visa

Matley Audit Limited is seeking an Intermediate Auditor to join our talented team in our Hamilton Central Waikato office. This is a full-time* opportunity for an ambitious and driven professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services to our diverse client base.

*minimum of 37.5 hours per week based in Hamilton New Zealand.

What you'll be doing
  • Conducting audits of financial statements and other financial information for a range of clients across various industries
  • Identifying and evaluating risks, designing and executing appropriate audit procedures to address those risks
  • Analysing financial data, preparing work papers, and documenting audit findings
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their businesses and address their audit needs
  • Providing recommendations for process improvements and internal controls
What we're looking for
  • 2+ years of external audit experience
  • Strong technical accounting and auditing skills, with a solid understanding of financial reporting standards and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to think critically and provide practical solutions
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with clients and team members
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
