Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites applications for a full-time, permanent Community Support Worker based in Manukau. You will join the Intensive Community team and deliver assertive, recovery-focused mental health interventions in community settings, managing a designated caseload with support from a registered health professional.

Essential to hold a Level 4 National Certificate in Mental Health, a full clean NZ driver’s licence, and at least 2 years’ experience in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 4 National Certificate in Mental Health.
• Experience in a community setting.
• Full clean NZ drivers licence.
• Strong cultural understanding of Tikanga Māori and Pacific Islander People.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support around assessment in a community setting for a designated caseload of service users.
• Work closely with a registered health care professional to deliver an integrated and assertive model of mental health care.
