We are recruiting for an Intelligence Support Officer to support Wellington District's frontline operations within our busy, world-class intelligence unit. Our unit supports Police leaders and operational staff by helping them understand and plan for risks, challenges and opportunities in the Wellington District criminal environment. As an Intelligence Support Officer, you will support the analytics function to inform decision-making and contribute to safer communities across Wellington. You will do this by scanning internal and external information sources, collating and interpreting data, and assisting in the preparation of intelligence products that support prevention, intervention and enforcement activities. The role may also require briefing decision-makers. You will bring a positive, open mindset and be innovative and solutions-focused in your thinking. The environment we work in can be fast-paced and dynamic, so adaptability and resilience are essential.
This position is currently responsible for assisting the delivery of intelligence support to tactical operations, critical incidents, and offender management. A core component of the Wellington District Intelligence Unit's operating model is the periodic rotation of portfolios to encourage innovation and development. This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $75,495 and $86,882 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
