Job summary

Rodney Insulation Limited is seeking an experienced Insulation Installer to join our Auckland-area team. You will install ceiling, wall and underfloor insulation on both new builds and existing residential homes, working across Auckland, Rodney and surrounding areas.

This is a hands-on role with an immediate start. Pay is based on per m² rates, with a base hourly rate of NZ$25.00–$30.00; earnings can exceed base rate with higher installation output.

Qualifications

• Experience installing insulation in new builds and existing homes.
• Reliable, hardworking and quality-focused.
• Able to work safely and follow instructions.
• Physically fit for ceiling and underfloor work.
• Valid driver's licence; Site Safe Passport an advantage.

About the Role

Rodney Insulation Limited is looking for an experienced Insulation Installer to join our team.

We are looking for someone who already has experience installing insulation in new builds and existing residential homes and can get into the work with minimal training.

This is a hands‑on role with jobs across Auckland, Rodney and surrounding areas.

Immediate start available for the right person.

What You'll Be Doing

• Installing ceiling, wall and underfloor insulation
• Working on new builds and existing residential homes
• Installing fibreglass and polyester insulation products
• Measuring, cutting and fitting insulation
• Working in ceiling and underfloor spaces
• Loading and unloading insulation materials
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Completing installations safely and to a high standard

Pay

Installation work is paid per square metre (m²), giving you the opportunity to earn more.

• Installation work is calculated using agreed per m² rates
• Travel time, loading/unloading and other non-installation work are calculated at your base hourly rate
• Base hourly rate: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Your total earnings are compared with your base rate earnings
• If your total earnings under the per m² pay structure are higher, you will be paid the higher amount
• If your total earnings are less than your base rate earnings, you will still be paid the base rate amount

In simple terms: you will not earn less than your base rate, but you can earn more by installing more m² while maintaining our quality and safety standards.

Hours of Work

Typically Monday to Friday, with the possibility of occasional Saturday work during busy periods.

Start and finish times may vary depending on job locations and workload.

What We're Looking For

• Previous insulation installation experience
• Experience with new builds and existing residential homes
• Reliable and hardworking
• Good attention to quality
• Able to work safely and follow instructions
• Physically fit and comfortable working in ceiling and underfloor spaces
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's licence

A current Site Safe Passport would be an advantage.
