Job summary

Te Kura – The Correspondence School is seeking a passionate Kaiako with Learning Support expertise, to teach ākonga with ORS-funded needs in Auckland or Whangārei. The role requires planning and delivering tailored lessons, supporting families, and using our online tools.

You will collaborate with kaiako and aides, participate in huinga ako, and contribute to a dynamic learning community while maintaining NZ teacher registration and a current practising certificate.

Qualifications

• NZ teacher registration and a current practising certificate are essential.
• Strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and assessment practices.
• Experience with ORS or learning support is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and engage with ākonga at huinga ako (learning advisories).
• Work with ākonga in the community and home with their whānau.
• Use Te Kura’s bespoke online tools to deliver learning and communication.
