Job summary

Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is seeking an experienced kaiako to join our early childhood teaching team in Wellington. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to plan individualised learning experiences for ākonga aged 2 to 6, using digital tools to connect with remote learners.

You will bring NZ teacher registration, a calm, inclusive teaching style, and a commitment to growing te reo Māori skills while supporting learners with diverse needs and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand teacher registration and practising certificate.
• Experience in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with kaiako and support staff to plan learning experiences.
• Engage with ākonga and whānau using a child-centred approach.
• Support bilingual te reo Māori goals and culturally responsive teaching.
