Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Dunedin seeks a Registered Nurse for the Medical Infusion Unit on a 0.6 FTE fixed-term until May 2027. The role focuses on intravenous treatments for Neurology, Gastroenterology and Rheumatology, with infusions scheduled Monday to Friday.

This small, efficient team supports outpatient services and aims to deliver high-quality patient care. You will need NZ Nursing Council registration, APC, and IV skills; you should be warm, calm, able to work independently

Qualifications

• Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council.
• Current APC (Annual Practising Certificate) with the right to work in New Zealand.
• IV cannulation and infusion skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide IV infusions in the Medical Infusion Unit, Monday to Friday.
• Care for patients across Neurology, Gastroenterology and Rheumatology.
• Infusions are booked on an appointment-based plan; support outpatient services.
• Collaborate with physicians and specialist nurses to optimise care.
