Job summary

Tait Communications seeks an Information Security Analyst to strengthen the ISMS and ISO/IEC 27001 certification across New Zealand. You will collaborate with regional leaders, security specialists, and the Global Information Security team to embed practical controls and drive compliance.

You will coordinate risk, audit, and assurance activities, maintain governance documentation, and translate security requirements into business-friendly solutions for operations and customers.

Qualifications

• Information security certification (CC or ISO27001) or equivalent.
• Experience in risk, compliance, governance, audit or project coordination.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Foundational ICT and security concepts knowledge.

Job description

We Go Beyond for A Safer World Te Tūranga - The Role

We're looking for an Information Security Analyst to play a key role in integrating Vital and Tait New Zealand into Tait Communications' Information Security Management System (ISMS) and ISO/IEC 27001 certification programme. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in information security governance, risk and compliance (GRC). Working closely with business leaders, security specialists, and the Global Information Security team, you'll help embed practical security controls, support certification activities, and strengthen security practices across the organisation. Reporting through Tait's Information Security function, you'll become a trusted advisor to regional stakeholders, translating security, risk and compliance requirements into practical, business-focused solutions that support both operational and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Co-ordinate security risk, compliance, assurance, and audit activities, including evidence collection and remediation tracking.
• Partner with stakeholders to embed security controls, manage risks, and meet compliance obligations.
• Maintain security governance documentation, reporting, risk registers, and compliance metrics.
• Support customer, supplier, and project security assurance requirements and risk assessments.
• Act as the local information security liaison, promoting security awareness and coordinating incident and compliance activities.

We're looking for someone who combines strong organisation and stakeholder management skills with an interest in information security and risk management. To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• An information security certification such as (ISC)² Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) or equivalent, along with an ISO/IEC 27001 qualification or approved equivalent.
• Experience in risk, compliance, governance, audit, project coordination, operations, or a similar stakeholder-focused environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex requirements in a practical, business-friendly way.
• An understanding of information security, risk management, controls, compliance, and continuous improvement principles.
• Foundational knowledge of ICT and security concepts, including cloud services, identity and access management, networks, applications, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while driving actions through to completion.
