Excel Refrigeration & Air Conditioning in Palmerston North is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Technician to deliver high-quality service and maintenance across commercial and industrial customers. You’ll service, repair, and install systems, perform planned maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance while building strong relationships with clients.

Qualifications

NZQA Level 4 qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
Current EST Practising Licence.
Approved Refrigerant Handling ticket.
Full New Zealand driver licence.
Proven experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration.
Excellent communication and client service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

Servicing and maintaining commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
Planned preventativ e maintenance and reactive service work.
Refrigeration repairs, upgrades and installations.
Completing service documentation and work orders using modern technology.
Building strong relationships with customers and providing professional service.
Maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Supporting apprentices and other team members when required.
Participating in on-call and overtime work as required.
