Job summary
Tradestaff Tauranga is seeking experienced fitters to work across industrial, manufacturing, maintenance and engineering projects throughout Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty. You will carry out general fitting, installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and components, reading drawings, using hand and power tools, and ensuring safety.
Immediate start, full-time hours, weekly pay, and opportunities for long-term roles with ongoing support from the Tradestaff Tauranga team.
Qualifications
- Proven hands-on fitting/engineering/maintenance experience.
- Trade qualification preferred or demonstrable practical fitting experience.
- Able to read/interpret engineering drawings and specs.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- Own basic tools and reliable transport.
- Committed to health and safety in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, maintain and repair machinery and components.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble components.
- Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance.
- Read engineering drawings and technical plans.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades and modifications.
- Work safely with hand and power tools.
