Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for the Queenstown facility to optimize plant layouts and material flow. You will analyze current layouts, design new ones with CAD tools, and implement changes to improve productivity, safety, and ergonomics.

The role requires 2–4 years in plant layout and material flow analysis, plus CAD and simulation proficiency. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of industrial engineering experience focusing on plant layout and material flow analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD software to design/modify layouts.
• Experience with simulation tools is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of material handling systems and logistics principles.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles related to flow and layout.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and ergonomic principles in manufacturing.
• Ability to visualize/plan complex spatial arrangements.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Analyze existing plant layouts and material flow patterns to identify inefficiencies and safety hazards.
• Design and optimize facility layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to improve workflow and space utilization.
• Develop and implement material handling strategies and equipment integration.
• Use simulation software to model proposed layout changes and assess impact on throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and safety teams to meet operational and regulatory requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed layout drawings, material flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct time studies and ergonomic assessments to improve workstation design and reduce fatigue.
• Support new facility or line extensions with layout and material flow expertise.
• Identify opportunities for automation in material handling and internal logistics.
• Ensure layouts comply with safety standards and best practices at Queenstown site.
• Manage projects related to facility modifications and equipment relocation.

This role is crucial for ensuring efficient factory operations, minimizing material handling costs, and improving overall workflow.
